Real Housewives of DC with Kathie Lee and Hoda

Real Housewives of DC: Before the 1st Episode

The ladies of the Real Housewives of DC are making the promotional rounds before tonight's first episode airs. This show hasn't even started yet and it's already proving to be dramatic. The Salahi's made the rounds as "The White House" crashers last year, which is now known that that was their "audition" for the Bravo reality show. The other day, Michaele Salahi got into an altercation with Whoopi Goldberg during an appearance on The View, and now, the ladies are on The Today Show with Hoda and Kathie Lee. All of the other ladies are ganging up on Michaele, saying that "they're over her" and that they are tired of all of the pre-show interviews only focusing on the Salahi story. When asked if any of the ladies like Michaele, each lady promptly said no.

To which Michaele stated that they were all jealous ho bags. Actually, she just said that they were all jealous, but she was probably thinking the h bag part.

Real Housewives of DC: Episode 1

"The currency here is proximity to power."

The show starts off by introducing all of the ladies. Mary, Lynda, Stacie, Cat, Michaele.

Mary was born and raised in DC and never left. They live in McLean, Virginia, surrounded by political figures. Mary and her family are a connected bunch and go to a photographer for their holiday portrait. Mary's grandfather was a tv/radio figure, and her father was a lobbyist. Mary has 5 children and has been married to her husband Rich for 25 years.

Stacie lives in D.C. and doesn't think that people that live outside of D.C. can call themselves Washingtonians. Stacie went to Harvard Business School, has met Obama, and works as a real estate agent. She has 2 children, a husband, and lives a structured life.

Lynda runs the top modeling in Washinton, D.C, T.H.G. Lynda has four children and has been married twice but is no longer married. She is dating Ebong, a younger man.

Michaele spends her time looking good. She modeled while she was younger, but then she met her husband. They live in Virgina Wine Country and own Oasis Wine. They travel into D.C. everyday and spend most of their time in hotels.

Cat moved to D.C. from London to be with her high school sweetheart. She brought both of her children after her divorce from her husband. Her highschool sweetheart, Charles, is a well known White House photographer. She is also currently writing a book about her journey leaving her husband, to be called "Inbox Full."

Michaele is planning an event for America's Polo Cup, a kickoff event for the events that D.C. hosts throughout the year. "If everyone would take a minute and hug someone, it would save the world," says Michaele. Michaele talks about Lynda, who did not sponsor the event this year or provide models, to which Lynda says in an interview "I am not interested in being associated with that Goat Rodeo."

Michaele and Cat meet, pinky pacting to go horse back riding together. Cat says that Michaele has an attention span of a gnat.

Mary meets Lynda and her boyfriend for dinner to talk about Mary's birthday dinner. They decide not to invite Michaele, as Mary and Michaele have a "history."

Mary is planning her birthday party. She has a biometric lock on her closet, which means that to get into the closet, Mary's fingerprint is needed. Mary and her daughter get ready for the party, and Mary feels guilty for not including Michaele in the party celebration, so she gives Michaele a call. Michaele gladly accepts the invitation.

Mary and her entourage head to Equinox Restaurant for her birthday. Cat, Lynda, Stace, and Michaele are all there. Lynda doesn't think that "second tier level" people should be at the party, including Michaele and her husband. Mary enjoys her birthday so much that she creates an entire month around her birthday. Mary gets a little bit tipsy and tells Stacie and the hairdresser, celebrity hairdresser Ted Gibson, she sat her next to that they will be good friends and that salons need to "integrate," then goes on about the new administration and how they will help salons integrate.

Stacie meets with her friend Erica, discussing an event that Stacie is throwing, a cooking class. Everyone keeps talking about Michaele and her weight, thinking that she looks frail. Stacie invites Cat, Lynda, Michaele, and Mary to the event.

Mary's husband Rich was picked as a style setter for Washingtonian Magazine, one of Mary's best friends, so Mary helps him pick out an outfit for receiving his recognition at a dinner later that night. Mary is upset when the announcer gets their last name wrong. Lynda also receives an award that night.

Lynda's friend Paul Wharton, a stylist, is introduced, and they talk about Michaele. Lynda discusses Michaele's metabolism, saying that she is too skinny.

Paul Wharton meets with Michaele the next day to style her for an upcoming event. Paul discusses his discussion with Lynda, and tells Michaele that Lynda had asked him to discuss Michaele's weight with her. Michaele thinks that Lynda shouldn't be concerned with her weight and thinks that Lynda is obsessed about talking about Michaele.

Stacie sets up for her cooking class. Mary is the first to arrive. She meets Cheo, Janet Jackson's personal chef, who is teaching a cooking class for the night. Cat shows up next, then some of Stacie's friends. Cat shows a picture of Joe Biden, who her husband Charles is with taking pictures. Stacie asks about the romance with her husband, Charles. Cat explains that they met when they were 18, then never saw eachother again, then she married her 1st husband. Cat explains that Charles is close to Obama and Biden and that they are all informed about the romance between Cat and Charles.

Cheo is asked who else he cooks for, and when he says Tyra Banks, Cat explains that she thinks Tyra is annoying, to which Stacie is shocked. Mary is quiet, as she knows that Stacie and the rest of the room is offended by Cat's comments. Stacie is also annoyed that Cat keeps returning the conversation to Charles, but then she implies that Bush was a better man than Obama (Bush showed up to an award that Charles won, and also showed up to Cat and Charles wedding, while Obama did not come to the wedding or attend any awards). Stacie is very taken aback by Cat's comments and can't believe that she thinks that George Bush is a better man than Obama. This causes tension in the room, to which Cat states that she only knows Bush on a personal level and can only judge Obama on a personal basis, not political. Mary also believes that Bush was a great man and tells Cat that she agrees with her. Stacie is super upset that Cat has bashed both Tyra Banks and Obama, realizing that they are also both black, and considers it suspicious. Stacie claims in an interview that she thinks Cat is rude and is watching her.
